Eating Breakfast and Dinner Only (Two meals a day)

Eating breakfast and dinner only or Having two meals a day is part of intermittent fasting. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day from many aspects.

On the other hand, having dinner at perfect time makes you self sufficient. Intermittent fasting is a great method to lose weight and it prevents many diseases.

Eating breakfast and dinner only and 12 hours apart is a perfect start for beginners. It improves metabolism flexibility and slows down the aging process. 

Eating breakfast fits better for our circadian rhythms. Eating breakfast helps to regulate our blood sugar levels. People having large breakfasts lose more weight than people having large dinners.

Skipping breakfast can cause weight gain problems.[1] People who skip breakfast feel hungrier in the afternoon and evening.

In this state, they take in more calories which makes them gain weight. It also affects their mood. 

Skipping lunch is okay if you are taking all the necessary nutrients in other meals. It is necessary to take in all calories every day.

However, if you skip lunch, make sure you are taking dinner early and you are putting at least a 6-hour gap between your dinner and bedtime. 

Dinner- When we have at least a 6-hour gap between our dinner and bedtime, our body feels free from working on the digestion process during sleep time. Our body concentrates more on our sleep quality which helps us start our day with full energy.

Our body pays full attention to maintaining and repairing during sleep. Bed-time eating also causes weight gain and diabetes problems[2]

Eating breakfast and dinner only two meals or Intermittent fasting is beneficial but not suitable for everyone. There are some cases where you need to take advice before starting it.

It improves our metabolism and health. But it also affects our mood sometimes and may lead to low insulin levels.

Intermittent fasting breakfast and dinner only 

2 meals a day 12 hours apart or eating breakfast and dinner only is the best basic intermittent fasting plan for beginners. 12 hours apart meal can become a good start for beginners. It also includes the period of sleep(8-10 hours) which makes it easy to follow.

Breakfast at 7 am and dinner at 7 pm creates an easy and small fasting period to follow. For breakfast, you can add a green smoothie instead of a fruit smoothie and at dinner time you can add some broccoli and salmon foods which will make your meal a superfood meal.

It is also important to stay hydrated during fasting and you can also add herbal tea. 

Why is breakfast better than lunch?

People skip breakfast but breakfast is the most important meal of the day, so you should not skip it. It also becomes necessary to eat breakfast

because you haven’t eaten for 8-10 hours overnight and you need energy.

Eating breakfast does not cause weight gain. Instead, it boosts our energy levels and increases concentration and alertness.

On the other hand, it prevents the risk of heart disease and type 2 diabetes. It improves brain power because we need energy(glucose) for enough brain power and better mental performance.

That’s why eating breakfast is more important than lunch.
